The Fellowship Has 4 Components:
Fellows are placed at a government agency full-time, 4 days a week, under the mentorship of a senior-level professional
Fellows attend an orientation, seminars, and field trips to strengthen their understanding of the functions of state government and policy making
(GSIP fellows tour the State House after meeting with several members of the Governor’s Cabinet)
Fellows attend meetings, events, and networking opportunities to connect with Maryland’s leaders
(Right) Fellows attend an Orioles game in the Governor’s Suite with a special visit from The Oriole.

Fellows work together in groups to put their knowledge and skills into practice, by researching and preparing a policy analysis and recommendation to present to the Governor and members of his cabinet
